Artrust, in collaboration with @24orecultura , has curated two exhibitions dedicated to Banksy and Street Art in different Japanese museums: the Sagawa Art Museum in Moriyama (@sagawa_art_museum ), and the Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki (@huistenbosch_official), where it will be staged from 9 July. The set-up intend to place Banksy historically, positioning him within a broader socio-cultural and artistic context - of which he is part and without which he could not have existed - and at the same time emphasising his centrality in the subsequent evolution. For these reasons, the works of the British artist are placed side by side with those of some of the pioneers and most relevant names of the graffiti art era, on the one hand, and with a wide selection of street artists from today's international scene, on the other.
